๐ฟ 1. 1-Minute Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for inviting me into Your Word. Quiet my heart so I may hear Your voice. Reveal Your glory and teach me to obey, even when I don’t understand everything. I trust that You work powerfully through simple obedience. In Your name, amen.
๐ 2. Bible Reading: John 2:1–10 (NIV)
1 On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there,
2 and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.
3 When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine."
4 "Woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied. "My hour has not yet come."
5 His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."
6 Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.
7 Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.
8 Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so,
9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside
10 and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."

Jesus reveals His glory through obedience and divine timing
๐ 5. Observing God
- Jesus responds with divine timing (v. 4)
 - He performs His first miracle at a wedding celebration (vv. 7–9)
 - He uses ordinary people (servants) to carry out His work (v. 7)
 - He provides abundantly and excellently (v. 10)
 - His glory is revealed quietly but powerfully (v. 11, beyond today’s text)

๐ค 6. Observing Humanity
- Mary presents the need to Jesus in faith (v. 3)
 - She instructs the servants to obey Him (v. 5)
 - The servants obey immediately and completely (v. 7)
 - The master of the banquet is unaware of the miracle (v. 9)
 - The obedient ones are those who witness the transformation (v. 9)

๐️ 7. Interpreting God
Jesus cares about our needs, even in ordinary settings like a wedding. Though His time had not yet fully come, He responds in compassion and power. His glory is not loud but is experienced by those who obey Him quietly. Jesus uses our simple acts of obedience to display divine power. When we listen and act on His word, He can turn emptiness into joy, lack into abundance.
๐ 8. Interpreting Humanity
We often face situations where something runs out—strength, hope, provision. Mary models faith by taking the need to Jesus. The servants model obedience by acting without hesitation. While others enjoy the outcome, only the obedient witness the process. God’s miracles are often hidden in our obedience. We don’t need to understand everything—just do what He tells us.
๐ 9. Application to My Life
- Do I bring my needs to Jesus first, or rely on myself?
 - Am I willing to obey even when the task seems ordinary?
 - Today I will pray over one area of “emptiness” and ask for God’s intervention.
 - I will choose to obey one instruction from God’s Word without delay.

✨ 10. Spiritual Touch
“Do whatever He tells you.” (v. 5)
These words challenge me to trust and obey completely. They open the door to the miraculous.
๐ 11. Prayer of Faith, Repentance, and Thanksgiving
Jesus, thank You for revealing Your power in simple places. I confess that I sometimes hesitate to obey when I don’t understand. Help me to trust You fully and act when You speak. Use even my smallest obedience for Your glory. Thank You for always giving the best in Your perfect time. Amen.
⏰ 12. 24-Hour Encouragement
Carry this with you today: “Obedience opens the way for miracles.” Be attentive to what Jesus tells you—and do it.
