๐ฟ 1. 1-Minute Prayer
Gracious God, thank You for calling me once again to Your living Word. Quiet my heart and remove distractions so I may hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. Let this time of devotion draw me deeper into the presence of Jesus. In His name, amen.
๐ 2. Bible Reading: John 1:31–40 (NIV)
31 I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that he might be revealed to Israel."
32 Then John gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him.
33 And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.'
34 I have seen and I testify that this is God's Chosen One."
35 The next day John was there again with two of his disciples.
36 When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, "Look, the Lamb of God!"
37 When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus.
38 Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, "What do you want?" They said, "Rabbi" (which means "Teacher"), "where are you staying?"
39 "Come," he replied, "and you will see." So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him. It was about four in the afternoon.
40 Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus.

๐️ 7. Interpreting God
God doesn’t leave us guessing—He confirms His Son through the Holy Spirit. The dove descending and remaining signifies divine approval and indwelling. Through John’s obedience and testimony, the Lamb of God is unveiled to Israel. God is not distant; He dwells among us through Jesus and invites us into relationship. The calling to "Come and see" reveals God's desire to be known and to abide with those who seek Him.
๐ 8. Interpreting Humanity
Like John, we don’t always recognize Jesus at first. It takes divine revelation and spiritual openness to truly know Him. But once we encounter Jesus, our response cannot be neutral. The first disciples didn’t just listen—they followed, stayed, and shared. True encounter leads to discipleship, and discipleship leads to witness. The passage gently asks: Have you followed Him? Are you staying with Him? And whom will you bring next?
๐ 9. Application to My Life
- Have I truly recognized Jesus through the Spirit's testimony?
- Do I desire to dwell with Him, not just know about Him?
- Today, I will accept His invitation to "come and see" in prayer and quiet time.
- Who is my “Simon” that I can introduce to Jesus today?
✨ 10. Spiritual Touch

Lord Jesus, forgive me for the times I assumed I knew You without truly listening to the Spirit. Help me, like John, to faithfully testify and humbly follow the signs You give.
